Join us January 8th 2025 at 2pm in the rotunda of the Rhode Island State House, 82 Smith St. Providence, for our 18th Annual RI Interfaith Poverty Vigil.
Faith leaders from around the state will gather alongside advocacy organizations, community groups, and elected officials to reaffirm that we have a moral obligation to fight poverty and inequality. Now more than ever we must uplift communities in need and protect those that are most vulnerable. A new legislative session means more opportunities to advocate for policy addressing housing insecurity, environmental justice, economic stability, healthcare access, food insecurity, criminal justice reform and many more issues to be a better Ocean State for all.
Faith Leaders traditionally meet earlier at 1pm at the Gloria Dei Church (15 Hayes St, Providence) to participate in the "March to the State House." If marching or time is a challenge, please meet at the State House at 2pm. Faith Leaders and Advocates read the names of the legislators in the State as a blessing and a call for action. For march registration or to be a reader of names, please sign up below.
